Assessment notice
What pre-hire skills + light-psychometric assessments measure and how the data is used.
⚠️ DRAFT — Reviewed by counsel: [pending]. Effective date: [YYYY-MM-DD — set on publish]. Do not rely on this as legal advice.
LeadAdvisors uses pre-hire skills + light-psychometric assessments to help match applicants to roles. This notice tells you what is measured, who sees the results, how long we keep them, and your rights.
1. What we assess
We run two tiers of assessments:
Tier 1 — Foundational (≈10 minutes each). General fit and capability. Includes:
- Big Five personality — short trait measure (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, emotional stability).
- Cognitive aptitude — short verbal / numeric reasoning.
- Problem solving — situational and logic items.
- English — call-center comprehension.
- English — administrative writing.
Tier 2 — Quick role screens (≈5 minutes each). Role-specific. Currently includes:
- Call Center Quick.
- HubSpot Quick.
- LeadAdvisors B2B Sales Quick.
For each assessment we record:
- Your responses.
- The category scores produced by automated scoring (the answer key is server-side and never sent to your browser).
- Time on task.
- Anti-cheat events (tab-blur counts above threshold; copy or right-click attempts; refresh attempts).
- Any reviewer notes recorded by a human after-the-fact.
2. How we use assessment results
- As one input among several in the hiring decision — never the sole basis. Decisions are reviewed by a human recruiter or hiring manager.
- To match you to roles where your strengths fit best.
- To identify trait/role mismatches early so we don't waste your time interviewing for the wrong role.
- In aggregate (privacy-respecting) to improve the assessment instruments themselves.
We do not:
- Reject your application solely based on automated scoring.
- Share your assessment results with current LeadAdvisors clients while you are an applicant.
- Use the results to make decisions unrelated to recruiting (for example, marketing).
3. Anti-cheat measures
To preserve fairness, the assessment screen disables some browser actions (right-click, copy on the question text) and counts tab-blur events. After three tab-blur events the attempt is flagged for review. These measures are technical and do not access your other tabs or windows.
4. Right to a copy
You can request a copy of your scores and reviewer notes by writing to legal@leadadvisors.net. We will send them within 30 days. Raw answers may be summarized rather than reproduced verbatim where doing so would compromise future test integrity.
5. No solely-automated decision
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has a significant effect on you (GDPR art. 22 and equivalent). Every progression decision in our recruiting pipeline is reviewed by a human reviewer.
6. Retention
| Status | Retention |
|---|---|
| Applicants who do not progress | Up to 24 months with the application record, then deleted |
| Hired contractors | For the duration of engagement; archived afterward in line with the Privacy Policy retention floor |
You can request earlier deletion at legal@leadadvisors.net.
7. Accessibility and accommodations
If a disability or other condition makes it harder for you to take the assessment under standard conditions (for example, additional time, a screen-reader-friendly format), please write to legal@leadadvisors.net before starting. We will work with you to provide a reasonable accommodation.
8. Re-takes
We generally allow one invited re-take if there was a technical issue or a reasonable cause. We do not allow unlimited retries because that defeats the purpose of measurement. Retake decisions are at our reasonable discretion.
9. Sub-processors
Assessment data is stored in our database (see Privacy Policy §6 for the sub-processor list). We do not today use a third-party assessment provider — the question banks and scoring run inside the LeadAdvisors Portal.
10. Consent
When you start an assessment, we treat starting it as an acknowledgement of this notice. If you do not consent, do not start the assessment — your application can still be evaluated based on its non-assessment fields, though some roles will not be available without the assessment.
